We are looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Milling Operator to join our aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-precision aerospace components in accordance with strict quality and safety standards. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring that parts meet stringent aerospace tolerances and specifications.
Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines to machine complex aerospace parts.
Read and interpret aerospace engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
Perform first article inspections (FAIs) and in-process checks using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMMs).
Monitor and control machining processes to ensure conformance to aerospace industry specifications (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP standards).
Maintain detailed production records and traceability logs in compliance with aerospace quality systems.
Collaborate with quality control and engineering to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
Perform routine maintenance and report machine malfunctions.
Uphold rigorous safety and cleanliness standards in compliance with aerospace regulations.
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or machining apprenticeship preferred.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience operating CNC milling machines in an aerospace or other high-precision environment.
Strong understanding of CNC programming (G-code/M-code) and machining operations.
Experience with aerospace materials (e.g., titanium, Inconel, aluminum alloys).
Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards and aerospace documentation requirements.
Proficient in precision measurement tools and interpreting tight tolerances (±0.0001”).
Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in a shop environment.
Ability to work occasional overtime or variable shifts as needed.
